In the Family SPA with indoor pool you can experience the first sauna sessions with your children. Here you can sweat pleasantly in the Finnish sauna at about 85 degrees or the bio sauna at about 60 degrees. All year round, children splash around in the heated outdoor pool in the Löwengartl, and in summer also in the outdoor adventure pool with slides just 300 meters from the hotel (free daily admission for Hotel Der Löwe guests).

In addition, the cool water of the surrounding bathing lakes beckons: Zeller See, Ritzensee, Lauchsee and many more.

Adventure and nature for children

Children love the varied adventure worlds in Leogang. The well-known bike park (with children’s bike courses), exciting themed walking trails and fantastic playgrounds make the region a real adventure paradise. The Asitz Sensory Adventure Park is particularly popular, where children can discover nature through play. Adventure walks and family-friendly alpine huts also ensure a perfect holiday.

A highlight of a summer holiday in Austria with children is a ride on the mountain railway up the local mountain, the Asitz. Once at the top, panoramic trails, water features and plenty of attractions for families await. The region also offers numerous easy hikes that are easily manageable even with young children. Directly from Hotel Der Löwe, for example, an easy hiking trail leads to the Sinnlehenalm. There you’ll find a petting zoo with rabbits, goats and much more, and of course a hearty snack.

The family lift for small ski bunnies starts behind the hotel. At the ski lift children can romp around, jump, toboggan and even 3 x week night skiing by floodlight.

In our professional ski schools there is full day care with lunch, final race and award ceremony. The little ones start first at the magic carpet in the children's land at the valley station on the Asitz. Children's carousel, snow igloos and knight's castle provide variety. And then it's off to the big ski area. The Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn is known for its family-friendly slopes, fun slopes, wave runs, dedicated children's accesses at the lifts and much more.

Safety for little water rats with seahorse test & certificate

Your children from the age of 3.5 can easily learn to swim with us on vacation. Sabine Salzmann (certified trainer) shows them how to move safely in the water and gain confidence in themselves.
