Snow shoe hiking
The perfect excursion for the whole family. Experience the dreamlike snow-covered mountains and valleys on a snowshoe hike across the winter wonderland. For guests of Hotel Der Löwe the snowshoe hike is free with the Saalfelden Leogang Card (incl. snowshoe equipment).
- Every Wednesday and Friday from 1.00 p.m.: Guided tour in easy to moderately difficult deep snow terrain with lots of experience and information about nature.
- Other important equipment: high winter hiking boots, warm and functional clothing, protection against cold, sun protection, sunglasses, small drinking bottle - please bring your own.
- Route: approx. 3 hours, depending on snow and weather conditions as well as the ability of the participants
- Participants: at least 2 persons
Tobogganing
Enjoy tobogganing fun on the day and night toboggan runs.
Tobogganing at the Schanteilift
Whether with the Hotel Der Löwe toboggan or slide plate, at the ski lift directly behind the hotel (only 300 m away) you can enjoy the tobogganing fun with your children by day or by night!
Biberg Saalfelden
6 km of tobogganing fun for the whole family. From the valley station Bockareitstubn you can either use our shuttle service to the Berggasthof Huggenberg or ascend on foot (walking time approx. 1 hour). There you will find the first toboggan rental. To reach the summit, continue next to the toboggan run to Berggasthof Biberg (walking time approx. 45 minutes). The toboggan rental is located directly at the mountain inn. The descent is possible day and night, because the toboggan run at the Biberg is covered with snow and illuminated.
Leo's Kufengaudi on the Asitz
Whether by day or by night - under the motto: "Up with the cable car - down with the toboggan!" fun is guaranteed for everyone. Look forward to a total of 4 kilometers of toboggan run and a superlative vacation experience on the Asitz toboggan run!
Hoametzl hut
The fun on two runners on the 1.5 km illuminated toboggan run is already a lot of fun during the day, but especially exciting and charming is of course the evening toboggan trip!
Horse sleigh ride
Romantic through the snowy Leogang valley. In addition to the enchanting winter landscape and the gentle snorting of the Noriker horses, you will experience Leogang in a completely different way. On the horse-drawn sleigh along, thickly snuggled in warm blankets it goes for an hour through the snow-covered village. Every Thursday at 5.30 p.m. at the Ritzensee in Saalfelden, individually in the fairytale Schwarzleotal or directly from the hotel.

Torchlight hike through the mystical Ullach valley
During a 1.5-hour hike in the light of torches through the mystical Ullach valley, you will enjoy the fairytale winter landscape to the fullest. Birgit Battocleti will initiate you into old legends of the Leogang village and provide a nice time to switch off and recharge your batteries. For guests of Hotel Der Löwe with Saalfelden Leogang Card the hike is free of charge.
