What dogs are allowed to do at Hotel Der Löwe
Dogs are welcome in our rooms, the lobby, the bar area, and the Löwengartl, our guest garden. Out of consideration for other hotel guests, we ask that you keep your dog on a leash in public areas and refrain from bringing them into the restaurant or wellness area. If you would still like to dine with your four-legged friend, we have a separate area in the lobby for this purpose.
Price information: We charge €40 per day (without food). Please indicate your four-legged friend when booking so that we can prepare everything for you!
Holidays in Europe with your dog
Activities in the Salzburg region
They start right outside our hotel door: numerous walking and well-signposted hiking trails for a dream holiday with your dog in Austria! Our hotel is located away from the hustle and bustle in the quiet center of Leogang, and the entire region offers a wide range of easy to difficult tours. Themed hiking trails provide insights into the customs, history, and art scene of the Salzburg region, while in winter there are countless groomed hiking trails.
And for golf lovers: dogs are allowed on the golf course at the Brandlhof Golf Club and can even complete the dog golf course proficiency test!
Tips for your stay with dog in Austria
- Dogs must be kept on a leash throughout the entire municipality of Saalfelden.
- On alpine pastures there is a leash obligation because of the grazing cattle.
- Muzzling is compulsory when traveling by bus and train. Occasionally also at the mountain railroads.
- Stations with dog bags are located on most hiking trails.
